Randal Nardone’s Past Experience and Current Role at Fortress Investment Group

Randal Nardone is known in the financial services industry as someone with a wealth of experience, and his results have benefited significantly from his knowledge and wisdom. On the Forbes Billionaire List, Mr. Nardone came in at the 557th spot out of everyone in the world. His education took place at both the University of Connecticut and the University of Boston. After completing his degrees, Nardone entered the workforce and enjoyed a strong financial career, but he he certainly best known for his role at the private equity business Fortress Investment Group.

Randal Nardone has been one of the company’s principals since its 1998 inception, but it was rather recently when he took over as the chief executive officer. Mr. Nardone finally got a chance to put his leadership skills to use as Fortress Investment Group’s CEO in 2013, and there is no doubt that his performance in the position has been nothing short of excellence.

If it wasn’t impressive enough that he has accomplished all of this, Randal Nardone also worked as a chairman with two separate finance businesses other than Fortress Investment Group. Their names are Newcastle Investment Holdings and Springleaf Holdings, and both of their boards gained significantly from the influence he gave them as a contributing chairman.

Some additional experience that is on Randal Nardone’s resume is his time as the managing director at USB and his tiime as the principal of another prominent and successful finance organization, BlackRock Financial Management. Later, he also made his mark as one of Thacher Proffitt & Wood’s valuable partners. Based on his history in the financial sector, is is readily apparent that Randal Nardone has what it takes to be a strong and competent leader of a finance company, and his leadership has certainly kept the clients of Fortress Investment Group happy.

He is so important to the business operations of Fortress Investment Group, in fact, that he was one of three individuals, all principals in the organization, that SoftBank chose to withhold upon acquiring the company after paying a sum of $3.3 billion.
