The Chainsmokers Presenting Awards?

Everybody knew The Chainsmokers were a great duo but now they are presenting awards at the Billboard Music Awards. On Sunday night during the Billboard Music Awards, Halsey and The Chainsmokers presented the award for Top Hot 100 Song of 2018 to Luis Fonsi for “Despacito.”

The Chainsmokers went on about how great of an artist Avicii was and how inspiring the work produced was. They mentioned how it meant so much to them to be presenting such a great award to such a great artist.

Halsey went on to mention that everyone who had worked with him in the past said how much of a joy it was to be around him and he could make any situation from bad to good and that is why it is so much more painful to bear the tragedy.

The duo of The Chainsmokers later mentioned Avicii for the second time when they picked up the award for Top Dance/Electronic act. Drew Taggart said that he wanted to dedicate the award to Avicii. Taggart said, “He is someone who made us believe that this is something we could do with our lives…” He continued on about his influence on music and the inspiration he set for people.

But why is it so crazy that The Chainsmokers are presenting awards at such a large event like the Billboard Music Awards. Well, the duo began a few years back when the two members were both making music as a side job hoping it would go somewhere someday. The two met up through a manager that was working with both of them and they clicked right away and knew what each other brought to the table. They’ve always told people to dream big because you can achieve anything you believe in and they really proved this. The duo came from small-town DJs and are now known around the world. Not only this but they are presenting awards at the Billboard Music Awards. Neither of the guys ever dreamed they would be presenting awards that were looked at so highly and now they’ve done it.
