Adam Milstein:A Successful Southern California Based Real Estate Professional

Adam Milstein is a very successful Israeli-American real estate investor as well as a committed philanthropist. Milstein is a native of Haifa, Israel. He moved to the United States in 1981 after completing his mandatory military service with the Israeli Defense Forces. In 1978, Adam Milstein graduated cum laude from the Israeli Institute of Technology with a bachelor of science degree in business and economics. While in college in Israel, Milstein worked for his real estate developer dad’s company. In 1974 he got married. By the time he relocated to the U.S., Milstein already had two children.


Once he got to Southern California, Adam Milstein enrolled at USC and got his MBA. He then found work selling commercial real estate. Eventually Milstein became a managing partner with a company that handles residential and commercial real estate, Hager Pacific Properties. Milstein’s role was dealing with the disposition, accounting and financing for office, retail, multi-family and industrial properties. In 2000, Adam Milstein and his wife Gila started the Milstein Family Foundation. The foundation provides support for a wide range charitable organizations. That includes fundraising, partnership development and consulting services. The foundation supports programs aimed at children, adolescents and people at different stages of adulthood. Milstein is also co-founder and national chairman of the Israeli-American Council and is involved in education and cultural advocacy activities. Adam Milstein was on the 2016 list of ‘The Top 100 People Positively Influencing Jewish Life’.


Adam Milstein now lives in Encino, California. Since moving to the United States, the Milstein family now consists of three daughters and three grandchildren, two boys and one girl. Even as their family continues to grow, Adam and Gila Milstein are still involved in charitable activities. They co-founded Sifriyat Pijama B’America, an organization which provides Jewish-American families living in the United States with free books written in Hebrew each month. This is the Milstein’s way of helping those families remain connected to their culture.
