Scientists around the world are working overtime to eradicate the deadliest disease which has plagued earth for centuries. One of the deadliest diseases on the planet is cancer, and oncologists Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny and Andrei V. Gurkov are making their contributions so that the spread of the disease would stop and early detection can be practiced. The contribution that Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny and Andrei V. Gurkov thought of is a global network of articles and publications that are essential to scientists, particular oncologists, who are dedicating their lives to protect the people from diseases and eradicated those which threaten the lives of many. Follow Oncotarget on Twitter.

Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny and Andrei V. Gurkov launched Oncotarget in 2010 hoping that the scientific community would be using the online medical journal to share information with one another. In the beginning, Oncotarget is mostly unknown, but through word of mouth, more scientists have known about the online medical journal’s existence. What happens when a scientist writes down an article about the recent treatment that he discovered is that they will be redirected to a page where they would be writing what they have known. Then, it will be uploaded online, and a group of scientists would read the article and judge whether it should be posted. They also have the powers to have the article edited, and once everything is clear, it will be posted on the website.  Visit Oncotarget’s profile page at facebook.com

Oncotarget now has millions of readership, and they are thinking how they can cope with the rising demands for articles and new information to feed the public. One of the solutions that Oncotarget did in the past is to release new articles twice a week. It was tough at first, but after Dr. Mikhail Blagosklonny and Andrei V. Gurkov, the editors in chief of the company, saw the advantages of posting articles twice a week, they decided to keep it that way until further notice.

Oncotarget continues to dominate the online scientific journal industry. They are the only ones known to deliver factual information to its readers, and they are also encouraging some of their readers to become a scientist in the future and provide treatment plans against cancer
